Running a copier across several prop firm accounts is a great way to scale - and a great way to accidentally double your risk if you set it up on autopilot. A few accounts, maybe different firms, different sizes, all moving together. Here's how to do it without turning one bad trade into a bad trade times five.
1.0x isn't always the right ratio
The easy mistake is copying every follower at 1.0x because it's the default. But your accounts aren't identical. A follower that's half the size of your leader, or under a tighter daily loss limit, shouldn't take the same contract count. Set the copy ratio per follower to match that account's size and risk, not the leader's. Same trade, right size for each account.
Every account needs its own daily loss limit
Firms don't share a rulebook. Your Rithmic funded account and your Tradovate evaluation might have completely different daily loss limits, and copying the same trade to both doesn't magically respect either one. Configure each account's own limit for that account's actual rules. One trade fires everywhere, but each account has to be able to protect itself on its own terms.
Doubling accounts can double the damage
This is the quiet risk. When every account trades together, a losing trade doesn't hit one account - it hits all of them at once, at whatever size each is running. That's fine if every ratio and limit is set correctly. It's a fast way to have a very bad day if they're not. More accounts means more to get right, not less to worry about.
Dry-run before a real funded account touches it
Do not learn your ratios were wrong on a live funded account. Run the whole setup in dry-run first - it shows you exactly what would copy, to which account, at what size, without placing a single real order. Confirm every follower's ratio and limit look right, then connect the accounts that actually matter. Five minutes of simulation beats one avoidable breach.
This is the multi-account case Qloner is built for. Set a copy ratio per follower and a daily loss limit per account, and Qloner mirrors your leader's trades at the right size for each one while enforcing every account's limit independently - a breach on one flattens and locks that account without touching the rest. Dry-Run lets you prove the setup before any funded account is connected.
