Why Can't I Enable Risk on All My Tradovate Accounts?
You have reached the 4-accounts-per-Tradovate-connection Risk Management limit.
If the Risk toggles are dimmed and you see "Limit reached", that connection already has Risk Management enabled on 4 accounts.
The Short Answer
Risk Management is limited to 4 accounts per Tradovate connection running at the same time, to stay within Tradovate's request limits. The limit is per connection - not per user and not per pricing plan.
What to Do
Either disable Risk on one of the accounts on this connection that currently has it enabled - which frees a slot straight away - or connect an additional Tradovate account under a different connection, which gives you a fresh pool of 4. If the connection is above the limit (some accounts were enabled before the limit existed), you may need to disable more than one before a new account can be enabled.
The Tradovate Connection guide walks through adding a new connection step by step.
Read the Tradovate Connection guide →Does This Affect Rithmic?
No. The limit is Tradovate-specific. Rithmic connections have no per-connection Risk Management cap.
See "Tradovate Risk Management Limits" under Risk Management for the complete explanation.
